A torrent of rash reactions
fermenting fears and judgment
rushes to an end
of bruised egos and broken hearts.
I watch from the side,
unattached and beyond
but affected.
Words hold weight and, when wielded outside of integrity, they can batter a heart to mush. It is regrettable at best and very difficult to witness when one can truly do nothing to stop it. May we all choose what we say with consideration. May we make the choice to bless and not to bludgeon.

Beautiful phrasing. So curious what you are thinking about.
Absolutely amen. May God give you peace and a discerning heart as you walk through this season.
Ouch, you must have witnessed something recently for this to be your first thought. It is horrible witnessing or even receiving verbal attacks like that.
Have a super blessed day!
Beth
Amen!
Very nice Lettie.......I agree words have power, they should only be spoken with love.
Once again, Lettie, your few words speak volumes. Always blessed to stop by.
Thank you Laura. Yes, I was thinking of one situation in particular but hope that the poem is universal enough to apply to many. :) Thanks for the visit and the comment. :)
Thanks Linda... for the visit and the blessing. :)
It was something that had plagued me all night in my sleep. All is better now. Thanks. May your weekend be wonderful!
