Wanting
to spread my wings
and fly free from this place--
to release my mind from this toil.
My soul
longs to shine, to be seen and heard.
Bound by expectation,
my heart sighs deep
and weeps.

My first exposure to a butterfly cinquain . . . and I am delighted to meet its acquaintance. Lovely as always,Lettie.
Thank you Andrea. It's nice to stumble upon "new" forms to play with now and then. I'm glad you liked it. :)
